Special Event Sanction or Fundraising Request

Hockey Alberta requires a Special Event Sanction Permit be obtained for team functions NOT included under the spectrum of day to day hockey events.

Examples of Normal day to day hockey related activities are: evaluations/tryouts, practices, games.

Examples of functions/activities that are NOT covered under day to day and REQUIRE a Permit are: fundraising events such as bottle drives, selling chocolates/tickets at a store, going to an out of town hockey game, going out as a team for a team meal, bowling, etc.

You may not participate in an event without the approval of the Board and approval from Hockey Alberta.  Please keep in mind that this may take a few days or up to a week (depending on the complexity of the request) and re-submitting your request will only delay this process.
